This Privacy Policy explains how Mínglǐ (“Mínglǐ”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit ming-li.org, create an account, purchase a reading, or use our services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details, such as your name and email address.
- Birth information used for a reading, including date, local time, place of birth, and any optional profile details.
- Order, billing, and transaction references. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by Mínglǐ.
- Messages you send to support.
Google Sign-In
If you choose “Continue with Google,” we receive the basic account information you authorize Google to share: your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image. We use this information only to authenticate you, create or connect your Mínglǐ account, protect your private archive, and communicate about the service. Mínglǐ does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendars, or other Google services.
Information collected automatically
We may collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, and security or error logs. We use essential cookies or similar storage for authentication, session security, preferences, and service operation.
2. How we use information
- Validate submitted information and provide requested readings.
- Create, secure, and maintain accounts and saved-report archives.
- Process orders, manage payments, and provide receipts.
- Operate, troubleshoot, protect, and improve the service.
- Respond to support, privacy, and account requests.
- Meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and security obligations.
Automated language generation may be used to turn verified structured reading inputs into readable reports. The language model is not used to calculate Chinese metaphysical charts.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and—where required—based on your consent.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is necessary with providers supporting hosting, authentication, payment processing, transactional email, analytics, security, report generation, and customer support. Providers act under contractual and confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect users, the public, or the service.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside Denmark or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account and report information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Order and payment records may be retained for legally required accounting periods. Security logs are kept only as reasonably necessary. You may request account or report deletion by emailing us; some records may be retained where law or legitimate security needs require it.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. In Denmark, this is Datatilsynet.
8. Security
We apply reasonable organizational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Children
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
